DRIVE-OUTS TO RACE
RETRO SHOW
IN AID
OF JEANS FOR GENES
Ace Cafe London have organised 2 Drive-Outs to this year's 5th International
Historic Motorsports Show, Race Retro, covering cars and bikes from eight
decades at Stoneleigh Park, near Coventry. All participants will get special
reserved display parking in a prime location and discounted entry tickets
to the show, as well as a discounted breakfast at the Ace prior to departure
and a free cuppa on arrival at the show from the Ace stand.
Saturday 15th March - Depart 07.30am - Old Skool Ford Drive-Out
Sunday 16th March - Depart 07.30am - Classic Car Drive-Out (includes American)
Race Retro brings all aspects of the sport and supporting industry under
one roof, with over 440 exhibitors.
Ford will be the featured marque for 2008, celebrating the 40th anniversary
of the Escort. There will also be displays of famous Ford rally cars and
special display parks for GT40's.
The show also includes classic motorsport action, celebrity drivers, historic
Kart Racing demonstrations, Championship Level Autotests, a traditional
Wall of Death, and much more!
As part of the cafe's aims to raise £100,000 to create 'The Genetic
Road Map' for 'Jeans For Genes' that will help doctors at the Institute
of Child Health (the research arm of Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital)
to understand more about the causes, treatments and cures for genetic
disorders, as well as providing much needed laboratory equipment and facilities,
each participant on the Drive-Outs will be asked to donate a minimum £2
registration fee to Jeans For Genes.
