This massive annual tribute to the USA attracts thousands of American vehicles (and motorcycles/motorhomes) last year local Chrysler-Jeep dealers 'The Beechdale Group' put on a display of Chrysler-Jeep products. This included some very nice PT Cruisers that had been customized, around thirty PT Cruisers cruised to the event and joined the dealers site. Making a very impressive display, which included the 2002 Dodge Viper GTS/R belonging to DaimlerChrysler UK boss Simon Elliott.

2nd European PT Cruiser Rally
1-4 May 2002

Köln (D) - Bouillon(B) - Versailles(F) - Knokke(B)

The European PT Cruiser Rally will be organized for the second time.
The first rally, organized during the weekend of Ascension of 2001, was a big success.
Despite the limited number of participants, because there was a relatively small number of cruisers delivered.
Anyone driving a PT Cruiser can participate in this rally, even if you have never participated in a rally before, you can take part in it without any problem.
You don’t have to prepare or specially equip your car; after all it is a recreational event for the entire family.
A clear road book with the necessary instructions from the organisation will guarantee you’ll arrive at your destination.
During the route a number of tests will be performed to test your driving ability and attentiveness, with which you can qualify for the PT Rally Trophee.
We will try to let the route cover as many local and secondary roads as possible, so you can expect some surprises on the road, such as scenic beauty, history, villages and cities.
In case we have enough participants we will hold a contest of Elegance (concours d’Elegance) for the most beautiful and most original Cruiser.
Due to the tremendous amount of traffic during the weekend of Ascension last year we decided to move the date to the weekend of 1-4 May 2002.
During the rally the Chrysler dealer Terback from Doetinchem (NL) will be present for the second time with a service team to lend a helping hand in case of a breakdown.

Wednesday 1 May
16:00 - 23:00 h Gathering of the participants in Köln- Germany, paperwork of the rally documents and the issue of starting numbers.
19:30 - 20:00 h Concours d‘ Elegance
22:00 - 23:00 h Organisation presentation and a briefing on and explanation
about the rally.

Thursday 2 May
09:00 - 10:00 h Start 1st Stage from Köln (D) to Bouillon (B)
Ranking tests will be held during the route.
17:00 - 19:00 h Finish in Bouillon at the castle of Godfried of Bouillon.
21:00 - 23:00 h Rally meeting (without obligations) on the results of the day’s
stage
22:00 - 22:30 h Concours d’ Elegance trophee 2002

Friday 3 May
09:00 - 10:00 u Start 2nd Stage from Sedan (F) - to Versailles-Parijs (F)
Ranking tests will be held during the route.
17:00 - 19:00 u Finish near the castle of Versailles
20:00 - 21:00 u Tour de Champ’s Elysee
22:00 - 23:00 u Rally meeting (without obligations) on
the results of the day’s stage.

Saturday 4 May
09:00 - 10:00 u Start 3rd Stage from Versailles (F) - to Knokke Heist (B)
Ranking tests will be held during the route
17:00 - 19:00 u Finish at the beach of Knokke
21:00 - 24:00 u Prize-giving and Rally party.

Participation costs is EUR 195,00 per team.
